Introduction
BluffOut ("the App") is a mobile party quiz game. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our App.
Information We Collect
Information You Provide
- Player Names: Entered during game setup. Stored locally on your device only. Not transmitted to any server.
- Game Preferences: Language selection, sound/haptic settings. Stored locally via AsyncStorage.
Online Mode (Optional)
If you choose to use Online Multiplayer mode:
- Room Data: Room codes, player names, and game state are stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database.
- Room data is ephemeral: Rooms are automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- No accounts required: Online mode does not require registration or login.
Subscription Information
If you subscribe to BluffOut Pro:
- Payment processing is handled entirely by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store).
- We do not collect, store, or process any payment information.
- RevenueCat manages subscription status and receives an anonymous app user ID and your purchase receipts — no personal information.
Analytics & Diagnostics
To improve the App we use:
- Amplitude — collects anonymous product interaction events (e.g. screens viewed, games started/completed, paywall views, purchase outcomes) and a non-persistent device identifier. Not linked to your identity and not used for cross-app tracking.
- Sentry — captures crash reports and performance/diagnostic data so we can fix bugs. Not linked to your identity and not used for tracking.
Information We Do NOT Collect
- Email addresses
- Phone numbers
- Location data
- Advertising identifiers (IDFA)
- Contact lists
- Photos or media
- Browsing history
- Tracking data shared with third parties for advertising
Data Storage
- Local data (player names, settings): Stored on your device using AsyncStorage. Deleted when you uninstall the App.
- Online mode data (room state): Stored temporarily in Firebase Realtime Database. Automatically deleted after 24 hours.
- Subscription status: Managed by RevenueCat with anonymous identifiers.

Children's Privacy
BluffOut is intended for users aged 12 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information through the App, please contact us.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Delete local data: Uninstall the App to remove all local data.
- Opt out of online features: Use the App entirely offline without any data transmission.
- Cancel subscriptions: Manage through App Store or Play Store settings.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Last Updated" date.
